No Luck, All God: Exposing the Spirit Behind Superstition – Part 4

Breaking generational agreements with false beliefs and reclaiming the truth of God’s Word.

Monthly Scripture Theme: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” — Hosea 4:6

Cleansing the House: From Rituals to Relationship

Week Four: From Rituals to Relationship

Welcome to Week Four of our No Luck, All God series. Each week, the Lord has been peeling back layers of generational patterns. These are things passed down like family recipes spoken, repeated, and performed without question.

  • Phrases we say

  • Practices we normalize

  • Objects we bring into our homes

And yet, we never stopped to ask:

Where did this come from?

We’ve allowed things into our spaces, our homes, our habits, and our hearts without realizing the spiritual weight attached to them.

We’ve opened spiritual doors unknowingly. We’ve come into agreement with things that seemed harmless, but those agreements still carry power.

The character of God is built on covenant. That means every agreement matters godly or ungodly, intentional or accidental.

“Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; He is the faithful God, keeping His covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commandments.”(Deuteronomy 7:9)

Yet many of us are destroyed because we didn’t know better.“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…”(Hosea 4:6)

We’ve been out here agreeing with things in ignorance. But now? We are no longer blind.

The hand of the enemy has been exposed.

This is why this week’s topic is so important. I’ve experienced the freedom that came from breaking these silent agreements and I can’t keep it to myself.

I want the whole world to be free.

Last week, we broke agreement with luck and reclaimed our spiritual authority in Christ.

This week, we’re going deeper.

Rituals That Open the Wrong Doors

Okay, you might be thinking:“Zee, I know burning sage, using crystals, and all that is not of God.”

But what about the things that are less obvious?

The ones that slip under the radar because they feel so normal, so natural, so harmless?

That’s exactly where the enemy hides not always in bold rebellion, but in subtle compromise.

Let’s talk about it.

What about yoga?

Oops.Yeah, that one cut me too.

I had to do some research to understand what yoga really is and when I say oh my, I mean it.

I had to repent.

Did you know that each yoga pose is a dedication to a Hindu god?

You may already know this and if so, what a blessing. But friend, I was out here thinking I was just relaxing, doing some deep stretching, clearing my head.

The truth? I was unknowingly participating in worship to other gods.

Even now, the thought makes me want to bow low and repent again.

What about those New Year’s rituals?

You know the ones:

  • Eating greens and black-eyed peas

  • Exchanging cash for “prosperity”

  • Believing that how you start your year will shape your entire year

I remember hearing,

“Don’t do laundry on New Year’s or you’ll wash someone out of your life.”

I didn’t think it was wrong.

It didn’t sound bad or illegal  but it wasn’t biblical.

These things may seem small, but small agreements make room for big strongholds.

We’ve spiritualized superstition and dressed it up as family tradition. We’ve mixed the sacred with the superstitious and God never asked us to do that.

“What fellowship can light have with darkness?”(2 Corinthians 6:14)

We don’t get to borrow from the world’s rituals and still expect Kingdom results.

When we try to “cleanse” or reset our lives without Christ, we might feel better temporarily, but we’re only rearranging spiritual furniture in a room we never surrendered to God.

So take a moment and ask:Is there anything I’ve called normal that God calls dangerous?

Because if the root is witchcraft, then no matter how harmless the fruit looks, it’s still poisoned.

“Let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.”(2 Corinthians 7:1)

How to Identify an Open Door in My Personal Life

Now please hear me clearly….This isn’t a checklist to legalistically measure your life against. This is a resource.

The Holy Spirit is your divine Helper. He will guide you. He will reveal what the Lord is asking you to purify.

“Search me, O God, and know my heart… see if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”(Psalm 139:23–24)

He is not just your Comforter. He’s your Revealer.

Ask Him, and He will show you.

The truth is, freedom begins with awareness.

Ask the Holy Spirit to Help You Discern:

1. Repeated Cycles You Can’t Break

Are you stuck in the same cycle no matter how hard you pray?It might be the result of a spiritual door left open.

Examples:

  • Constant fear, anxiety, or heaviness

  • Generational poverty, rejection, or confusion

  • Relationship breakdowns that repeat through your bloodline

Check the door. Something may be giving the enemy permission to stay.

2. Spiritual Blockage or Resistance

Do your prayers feel like they’re hitting a wall?Does the Word feel distant? Is worship dry and disconnected?

It might not just be a “dry season.”It may be an unresolved spiritual agreement.

“Your iniquities have separated you from your God.” (Isaiah 59:2)

3. Unexplained Fear or Darkness in Your Atmosphere

Does your home feel heavy or unsettled?

Are there certain rooms where you feel uneasy?

Do your children struggle to sleep?

Your space is not just physical, it’s spiritual.  Atmospheres carry what you allow.

Ask the Holy Spirit,

“Is there anything in this space that grieves You?”

He will show you.

4. Words You Say Without Thinking

Sometimes the open door is in your mouth.

Phrases like:

  • “I’m just so unlucky.”

  • “I hope the universe is on my side.”

  • “Let me manifest that.”

  • “Let me protect my energy.”

You might not mean anything deep by it, but words are spiritual agreements.

“Life and death are in the power of the tongue.” (Proverbs 18:21)

Watch what you speak. It may be revealing what you’ve already agreed with.

5. Objects or Practices That Invite the Wrong Spirit

Take inventory of your home, playlists, books, shows, and hobbies.

Ask: “Does this invite the Holy Spirit or grieve Him?”

Examples:

  • Dreamcatchers

  • Zodiac signs and horoscopes

  • Crystals or tarot cards

  • Music that glorifies death, lust, rebellion, or pride

  • Entertainment that celebrates witchcraft or divination

This is not about being paranoid, this is about being pure.

Jesus, do only what You can do. Expose the lies. Reveal the truth.Wash us clean.

Cover every uncovered thing with Your blood. Replace every lie with Your Word.

I know this is deep, friend. But it’s also freeing. This is a journey but don’t walk it passively. Walk it boldly.

Let’s Declare the Word

This week, we are closing every open door.We are renouncing every ritual we agreed with.We are inviting the Holy Spirit to fill every space in our lives, our homes, and our hearts.

Prayer Declaration

Father, thank You for revealing truth to me.This was a lot to process, Jesus. Help me to hide Your Word in my heart. Teach me to walk in Your light all the days of my life.

My heart is humbled. Forgive me for walking in ignorance.Forgive me for being passive with the dominion You trusted me with.

I come out of agreement with every false ritual, every ungodly object, and every contaminated word I’ve spoken.Forgive me for anything I’ve brought into my home that grieved You.

Forgive my bloodline, Lord.I repent for every ungodly covenant made by my ancestors.Wash my family in the blood of Jesus.

I renounce every open door, known and unknown.I reject every practice rooted in witchcraft, divination, and idolatry. I belong to Jesus Christ.

Holy Spirit, fill my home. You are welcome in every room, every corner, every square foot.Take full authority.Dwell with us.

I surrender my heart, my space, and my life to You. Make me sensitive to Your presence and bold in obedience.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
